Shut off main water source which is typically found in garage, outside wall of garage or at edge of driveway by street.

Make sure all electronic items are unplugged and turned off or even removed from water-damaged areas.
If you’re able, please remove any items that can soak up water like cardboard boxes, wooden furniture, antiques, memorabilia boxes under beds and in closets.
As the home owner you are entitled to choose the restoration company of your choice to perform your water damage service, as long as they have the right qualifications! Some insurance companies will try to tell you differently because they would rather utilize a restoration company which they have contracted. We at First Impressions use acceptable pricing for insurance companies and will work directly with your insurance company to ensure you are being treated fairly and receive all the compensation necessary to properly restore your home.
